Both Mr. Thomas and Mr. Kanupp are members of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, where Mr. Thomas was a former President. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Certification Committee from 2003 through 2008. Mr. Thomas is a past President of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is currently serving on the Sexual Harassment, Age Discrimination, Federal Employee and Title VII Committees of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Both Mr. Kanupp and Mr. Thomas are strong supporters of the National Employment Lawyers Association, and recently were sponsors of the 2010 NELA Gala Fundraiser: “NELA at 25: Don’t Stop Believing” in Washington, D.C.. Mr. Thomas is a former member of the Executive Council of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar and is a former Chair of the Recent Legal Developments Committee and a former co-chair of the Individual Rights Committee of the Florida Bar Labor & Employment Section. Mr. Thomas is also a former member of the grade review panel for the Florida Bar Labor & Employment Certification Examination. Mr. Kanupp and Mr. Thomas are members of the Labor and Employment Committee of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Labor and Employment Section of the Florida Bar.
